New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton Heart and Lung Centre. In memory of our friend and former resident Colin Davies. Singing for the Mind with Brewood Dementia Suppory Group. Ronald McDonald House Birmingham providing accommodation comfort and support for the families of children being treated at Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

We supported the following charities in 2018:

New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton Heart and Lung Centre. In memory of our friend and former resident Colin Davies. We raised £350.00 

Tommy’s, funding research to save babies’ lives. We raised £250.00

Midland Freewheelers, as part of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes, provide a free emergency blood and medical essentials delivery service to West Midlands NHS facilities. We raised £350.00 

We supported the following charities in 2017:

New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton Heart and Lung Centre.  In memory of our friend and former resident Colin Davies. We raised £320.00.

The Haven, Wolverhampton: this local charity supports women and dependent children who are vulnerable to domestic violence, homelessness and abuse. We raised £300.00.   The Good Shepherd Ministry assisting the homeless and others in need in Wolverhampton. We raisaed £300.00.

Other charitable donations £749.00.

We supported the following charities in 2016:

The British Heart Foundation which plays a leading role in the fight against heart disease. We raised £350.00

The Macular Society. Age-related Macular Degeneration which problems with the central vision which becomes distorted or blurry and in time may develop into a blank patch. This charity is the suggestion of Martin and Anne Whittaker. We raised £265.00

Compton Hospice. We raised £360.00

Other charitable donations £50.00

We supported the following charities in 2015:

The British Heart Foundation which plays a leading role in the fight against heart disease. We raised £330.00

Headway, a charity which works to improve life after brain injury, providing information, support and services to the sufferers and their families and carers. We raised £281.00

Midlands Air Ambulance: “Saving lives by saving time”. Ninety percent of the region is within reach within eight minutes and if a patient reaches hospital within the Golden Hour (60 minutes after their injury) their chances of survival are dramatically increased. It relies entirely on donations to keep its three air ambulances operational. We raised £300.00

We supported the following charities in 2014:

The British Heart Foundation which plays a leading role in the fight against heart disease. Thanks to the overwhelming support and generosity of members and friends we were delighted to donate £350 to this charity in memory of our former resident Colin Davies.

Brewood Community First Responders, a group of volunteers who provide emergency first aid until the arrival of the ambulance. The scheme is a charitable organization and all running costs have to be covered by donations, local fund raising and sponsorship. We raised £300.00

Brewood Scouts Fundraisers raising funds to ensure the long-term survival of scouting in Brewood. We raised £230.00

We supported the following charities in 2013:

The British Heart Foundation. We raised £160.00

Alzheimer’s Society. We raised £200.00

Headway, working to improve life after brain injury. We raised £200.00

 

We supported the following charities in 2012:

British Heart Foundation. We raised £330.00

Compton Hospice. We raised £150.00

Macmillan Cancer Support. We raised£130.00

The Acorn Children’s Hospice. We raised £135.00

We supported the following charities in 2011:

The British Heart Foundation which plays a leading role in the fight against heart disease. We raised £300.00.

The Mali Jenkins Home, Walsall. Supported in memory of Keith Mitchell, the home offers care to sufferers from Parkinson’s disease and looked after Keith at the end of his life. We raised £180.00.

Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of our friend Helen Hawthorne. We raised £205.21 

 

We supported the following charities in 2010:

The Acorn Children’s Hospice which offers a network of care to life-limited children. We raised £200.00.

Brewood Scouts Fundraisers, a charity created to generate a relocation fund to enable the group to move its headquarters. We raised £180.00.

The Liver Foundation Trust Fund at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. We raised £230.00.

 

We supported the following charities in 2009:

The Joshua Foundation which provides holidays and experiences for terminally ill children. We raised £170.00.

Our local First Responders, a group of volunteers who provide emergency first aid until the arrival of the ambulance. We raised £236.00.

The County Air Ambulance. A cheque for £211.00 was taken to our local base at RAF Cosford.

People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.  We raised £150.00.
